Jeff, CEO:
How long have you been with ILOE Studios and what is your favorite part of what you do? I joined ILOE Studios in 2015 after I graduated law school. I absolutely love working with my team to come up with unique and creative ideas to lead the industry forward. It takes creative ideas and implementations to support and benefit the apparel and accessory industry! I also love connecting individuals together and watching their businesses thrive.
What keeps you energized and motivated throughout the day? There is nothing like a black cup of coffee. Iced or hot depending on the weather outside (or the temperature of my office)
Do you work with music on or off? If on, what's your go-to work song? It depends upon the task that I am working on. If I am working on spreadsheets or reading, the music is usually off. If I am writing or trying to tune out outside noise and distractions I will listen to Spotify on the Classical Focus playlist. I can't have words in the song--- I have the habit of typing what I hear rather than what is in my mind.
What do you love most about working at ILOE Studios? I grew up in this industry. My parents were manufacturers before opening ILOE Studios and I watched, learned, and worked on the manufacturer and importer side. To me, this is a great way to give back to the industry and its people. On top of that, I love my team.
What do you think ILOE Studios does that allows it to stand out from other fashion trade shows? It's all about customer service. We aim to make the show as easy an experience as possible so that buyers and vendors can focus on what matters to them - the business at hand. It's not just enough to provide amenities; our team goes above and beyond and makes sure that we are present on the floor and able to assist/answer any questions that may come up in real time. We solve problems, answer questions, and help our people - we don't frustrate them with endless run-arounds and bureaucracy.
What’s your go-to coffee order? Black coffee year round... with the exception of the holidays. Then it’s a peppermint mocha at Christmas and Pumpkin Spice Latte at Thanksgiving from our local independent coffee shop by the office.
What’re some things you keep handy on your work desk? Extra pens (mine seem to grow legs daily and leave me). Photos of my family, a bottle of water, and of course a notepad to aid in my musings and scratch down quick ideas.
Laurie, Marketing Director
How long have you been with ILOE Studios and what is your favorite part of what you do? I’ve been at ILOE Studios since January of this year and my favorite part of what I do is getting to keep everyone excited about what we’re all up to while also getting to take some fun content with the ILOE Team!
What keeps you energized and motivated throughout the day? A whole lot of coffee and a couple of TikTok breaks.
Do you work with music on or off? If on, what’s your go-to work song? Music on! Always always always. I’m always a big fan of Stevie Nicks so it’s mostly Fleetwood Mac or any suggested Spotify playlist I was listening to on my drive in. I also like to play office-dj from time to time and that can include anything from Throwback jams to some good old fashioned road trip tunes!
What do you love most about working at ILOE Studios? Getting to be treated like family rather than just an employee. We always work so hard to ensure our exhibitors and buyers feel special and like they’re so much more than just a number to us - it’s really nice to have that feeling across the office within our team as well. I also really love our team lunches to explore the downtown area of where our office is located because we’re always having a blast.
What do you think ILOE Studios does that allows it to stand out from other fashion trade shows? We put people first. We don’t strive to fill a lot of space with a lot of vendors, we strive to fill the perfect amount of space with hand selected, quality vendors and then bring in the best of the best buyers to ensure we’re cultivating a strong community and encouraging long term relationships. We’re not ever focused on doing the quick and easy - we’re always working on those deeper, more fulfilling connections that will keep our industry alive and thriving.
What’s your go-to coffee order? Hot coffee, extra almond milk. Or an Iced Brown Sugar shaken Espresso if I’m feeling extra sleepy.
What’re some things you keep handy on your work desk? Headphones, about a hundred different types of lip balms, photos of my loved ones, and pastel colored highlighters. Oh - and always three different beverages!
Chandler, Operations Coordinator:
How long have you been with ILOE Studios and what is your favorite part of what you do? I've been at ILOE Studios for a little over a year now. I first started as an intern and have worked my way up to Operations Coordinator. My favorite part of my job is helping exhibitors have a seamless experience so that they can focus on taking care of their customers.
What keeps you energized and motivated throughout the day? A lot of caffeine (coffee in the morning and energy drinks in the afternoon) and good music.
Do you work with music on or off? If on, what's your go-to work song? Yes, music on please! I have a mix of early 2000’s throwback hits and country music from George Strait and Chris Stapleton.
What do you love most about working at ILOE Studios? What I love most about working at ILOE Studios is the environment and the people I work with. It has a feels-like-home environment and I think being in a warm and inviting environment helps us translate it into our shows so that our exhibitors and attendees really feel a part of the ILOE team when they walk onto our floor.
What do you think ILOE Studios does that allows it to stand out from other fashion trade shows? I think what makes ILOE Studios stand out from other fashion trade shows is the customer service that is provided for every exhibitor and attendee. Any question or assistance that is needed, there is someone there to help you.
What’re some things you keep handy on your work desk? Morning time: a hot caramel latte with almond milk. Mid morning: an iced caramel latte with almond milk.
7. What’re some things you keep handy on your work desk?
Some things you will find on my desk are a cup of coffee, a cup of water, chapstick and my desk covered in pink sticky notes.
Charlie, Style Director: 1. How long have you been with ILOE Studios and what is your favorite part of what you do?
I have been with ILOE Studios since 2014. I was studying full time at fashion school and working for the company part time. I’ve loved being able to see the show grow to what it is and I can’t wait to see what the future will bring.
2. What keeps you energized and motivated throughout the day?
Our job offers a lot of variety with everything we do so that keeps you engaged no matter the time of year because it is always changing. Also, my coworkers are simply the best! Our current office is in an open workspace setting so we are able to bounce ideas off each other and dialogue through our projects. As a more creative minded person, I really appreciate that.
3. Do you work with music on or off? If on, what's your go-to work song?
I’m one of those people who would be perfectly ok with working in complete silence. However, I also love working with music on, so either is wonderful to me. The perfect pick-me-up song for the 2 o’clock slump is without a doubt Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody. But be warned, those 5 minutes are designated for an office dance party and nothing else.
4. What do you love most about working at ILOE Studios?
Honestly, being able to help both our Exhibitors and Attendees achieve their goals at our shows is the best feeling. We make it our top priority to make sure that everyone has the tools they need to have the most successful show possible.
5. What do you think ILOE Studios does that allows it to stand out from other fashion trade shows?
Customer service is paramount in what we do and why we do it. We are all part of this fashion industry family and we will help you with whatever you may need to ensure you have every opportunity to have the best experience.
6. What’s your go-to coffee order?
If we are going for a coffee run at the office, I always go for a matcha green tea latte. Not coffee but still delicious.
7. What’re some things you keep handy on your work desk?
I start the day with at least three drinks (water bottle, La Croix, and Zevia) on my desk. Other than that I keep my desk pretty sparse save for my computer, keyboard, mouse, and iPad.
