Unless you have been living under a rock for the past month, you probably know that Beyonce has finally released her much anticipated new album Renaissance and although it has already faced some controversy, it is undeniable that this new visual album from the multi Grammy winner is a feast for the eyes and takes the listener through a lyrical story, blending what we hear and what we see into a whole new experience.
Among the fashions showcased in the officially released photos from the artist are both heavy hitters in the fashion world, as well as lesser known brands, but who have created pieces that are just as vivid, thought-provoking, and gorgeous as some of the most storied houses. There’s a corset, bullet bra design from Schiaparelli, a disco queen ensemble from Gucci, a feather and lace lime green gown from Alaïa, a Dolce and Gabbana red contoured puffer, and a mirrored, metallic, body sculpted piece from Mugler just to name a few.
In a time when it seems artists are releasing singles just to fill the void, it's very much appreciated to see that there are still musical artists like Beyonce who believe in producing a cohesive, all encompassing album. A true story telling experience adding photography that completes the message that the artist wants to convey.
