To say Sophia Bush and Grant Hughes’ wedding in Oklahoma was a feast for the eyes would be an understatement. The days long event was filled with love, history, breathtaking venues and gorgeous clothes. The actor and producer wed the real estate investor in a June 11 ceremony but the inside scoop, as it were, has only been shared with the public recently. Every aspect of the wedding week looked immaculate, starting with an intimate dinner at the couples’ favorite Tulsa eatery. The bride donned a white cocktail dress from Khatie while the groom looked relaxed and cool in a custom Rich Fresh suit and Tom Ford shoes. For the rehearsal dinner, the couple and guests dined at the Westhope House with an elevated cowboy dress code which saw the bride and groom wearing a white floor length Roksanda gown and terracotta tuxedo from FE Castleberry. Both looks were made complete with coordinating cowboy hats of course.
For the big day, Mr. Hughes wore a bespoke, dark forest green tuxedo from Rich Fresh. The bride looked stunning in a custom Monique Lhuillier gown and custom embroidered veil. While the gown was based on the traditional white, the bride and designer added a personal touch that reflected the couple’s country color palette and venue by incorporating floral motifs of roses, poppies and olive tree leaves. The bridal party was also dressed to the nines with the gentlemen in bespoke Rich Fresh and the ladies in bespoke Mi Jong Lee, with everyone coordinating in the warm earthy tones and wrapped in silk.
At the reception, the bride didn’t change her outfit once but twice. The first in a strapless Emilia Wickstead with a detachable waist cape and floral jacquard embroidery. The second look was to dance the night away in a Cristina Ottaviano minidress that the bride wanted to channel an every glittering disco ball. Finishing the look with silver and ivory cowboy boots, this was the perfect end to the perfect day for the happy bride and groom.
